Today when I was going to park my NA Speedster in the garage the engine electronics light came on :beat: Going to take it to a Opel dealer tomorrow, but they are not used to Speedsters here :( I got a ITG induktionkit on and a complete Courtenay exhaust and racekat on the car, prekat removed. Is it Lamdasensor or AMM that has broke? (I have read somewere here about people using Courtenay exhaust and racekat geting "CEL") Is it expensive parts?

I have read somewere here about people using Courtenay exhaust and racekat getting "CEL"

What is CEL? Some race cats have caused the ECU light to come on due to different (changed) conditions before/after the main cat. Dunno why really, maybe you should ask Courtenay if it is a common problem and a cure.

is it a 200 cell cat? My engine light came on after a new zaust - spent months trying to figure out what it was, changed cat etc etc. Turned out it was the wire to the lamda sensors  I'd check teh wiring and change the sensors before you do anything else - its even possible to plug in the wiring the wrong way.

Yes it´s a 200 cell kat. Had you conected it wrong? I never disconected my wires when changing kat. I have been driving with the exhaust for 4 weeks and have not had any trouble with it before. Could a lamda sensor shake loose and cause varninglight??

Went to Opel today and got a Tech2 reading of my error code. The lamda before cat is working. O2 sensor after cat should send a steady liner signal if cat is working properly, my signal is not steady. So the 200 cel racecat is not working as it should be... OR.... Conclusions: 1: A racecat needs allot of heat to work properly, I have/had been driving allot of short distances in town where the cat not get warm enough, so after a while it gets a signal from O2 sensor that the cat is not working. 2: The O2 sensor after cat may be broken, if it is, varninglight should come back in a short future, and even when driving long distances. I will know that tomorrow when ha have some longer more fun driving to do rallly

After 30 km of fun driving the light came on again when I had to slow down in a town :( I guess I have to waste some money on a new sensor after the cat :beat:

I had to take my vx to the dealer when I had a low 02 level come up from using cheap crap fuel instead of the normal optimax /ultimate. Once the dealer had reset the light and I went back to using decent fuel it never happened again. thumbsup

O2sim works great but you must connect it in a different way,i must check because i've installed it some months ago but if i remember good you must connect the ground wire directly to chassis, check the forum of the o2sim i wrote about the right connection for the speedster to make all the things works.
Now i've done over 2000 km without any cat at all, completly free flow exhaust thumbsup :groupjump:

I must check, but you should connect the ground O2sim black wire directly to chassis and check for proper led blinking.
