How difficult would it be to fit one of these into a VX N/A ?

(GM Part number 12499466)

Price is around $4,000.00 for the complete engine, including the supercharger (less than half the price of the Courtenay / Delta conversion)
Plus it already has a strengthened crank, rods and pistons fitted (so no having to deal with certain companies in the US for the uprated bits).

Apparently the block is the same as the 2.2 Ecotec, and the gearbox bellhousing mountings match up.

The only "problem" is that it has a 240mm 8-bolt flywheel (Saab Turbo ?) instead of the usual 228(?)mm 6-bolt one.
Will the exisiting clutch / plate work with the larger flywheel ?
Or would a 240mm Saab Turbo clutch fit the splines on the VX gearbox output shaft ?

It's also here for a few dollars less :

I think Pace Performance might also stock it, but it's not on their website yet.

There's a review of the Saturn Ion Redline which the engine comes from here :

Apparently the claimed 200hp is a bit of an under statement - They measured 197hp at the wheels on a dyno :D

This is doing the rounds again on the Speedster forum ;)

No prices yet though and not as much power as Rickys :( but if its half the price and comes with a GM warranty then could be interesting thumbsup
