Another Amd Stage 3

Well, after a number of false starts, I finally got my car upgraded from the development 'Stage 2.5' to full Stage 3. I collected it with the new cams from AmD this afternoon. I haven't done many miles in it yet (only about 60 down to Basingstoke) and I have managed to lose the printouts already. Power output was measured as 181.2 bhp and torque at 172 ft-lb (I think!). Definitely a significant improvement over the previous kit. It pulls very well at high revs although the price you have to pay is a bit of a lumpy idle (common with long duration cams). Overall, so far so good. But I'm looking forward to getting some miles onto it at the weekend to have a real play. Paul

Paul We'll have to compare notes along with Rubber. Will be picking mine up from AMD tomorrow after the same treatment & it appears that the Dbilas intake manifold has made a bit of a difference. Will post details of outputs and driver feel over the weekend Paul

If this car was a 53 plate with a Vauxhall sports exhaust,it's Firestreaks,he was at Tintern with us last weekend & dropped the car off at AmD on Wednesday.
