Hi Guys Just a quick note on the state of play with the new dedicated Team Dynamics/Thorney motorsports wheel. unfortunatly We have sufferd a delay on these wheels, due to the fact that we have had to produce new tooling. hopfully John will recieve the wheels in the next 3 weeks. Once again i would like to appologise to those of you who have already paid deposits. Mark Wain Team Dynamics

Anyone got a trailer to get my car to Snetterton without breaking the law on tread depth.

A question from someone who knows nothing about making wheels............... How come a new tool is needed to make something which is always round, comes in only a few different circumferences, uses an existing stud configuration, and uses an existing spoke design?

I think I am correct in saying the tool in this instance is a new mould of some descripton, used in the wheel casting process thumbsup

I asked Mark from Turbo Dynamics to post here just to be as open with everyone as I can. Mark informed me only today that there would be another delay and whilst I accept that these things happen I didn't want to be accused of taking deposits then sitting on them, Mark can confirm that this isn't the case and the delays have occured post order not before. Reputation is important to me so whilst I don't like dragging a supplier onto a forum to explain why there was a delay it seemed the only option as the delays have been completely out of my control. As ever if people want a refund then they only need say and it will be done. Sorry.

So I wonder which bit justifies the new mould then. 16" and 17" are already available. The spoke design is already available. The stud pattern or the offset perhaps? This is for my own interest and knowledge BTW and isn't leading anywhere.

John,
I appreciate that this is beyond your control. I don't want a refund, I just want the wheels! Unfortunately your original post of 20 June stated:

The first order of 25 sets has been made and we'll have them in 3 weeks.

This seemed like a done deal and, unfortunately, raised expectations. I for one used it as the basis for other upgrades (nitrons), and booked trackdays and a training & set-up half day accordingly.

I think you probably answered your own question.

Waiting even longer for wheels = thumbsdown

I haven't ordered any wheels or followed the previous threads to their full extent but I just wanted to add my 2p..... I've worked in the performance tuning industry and have seen similar problems with regards to bringing products to market, unfortunately these things do happen and delays are not always avoidable. IMO John has been forthcoming in this thread and its a good show....many companies would spout BS untill they are blue in the face and never even think about offering a refund or apologising for the delays!

And thats why I asked Mark to post....to show you that I'm not just wringing it out. At the time of that post the indicated time was 3 weeks. Things have changed (and I've no doubt that Dynamics are doing all they can) which have caused a delay. All I can do is apologise and offer refunds, the delay is out of my control, was unexpected and equally as frustrating (I'd say more so actually) to me than to you.

What more can I do?
