What were they thinking  Are the graphics just transfers or have they actually been sprayed on :o You'd have thought they'd have got a footrest and mat for the pax side before putting it up for sale too

From my limited german, i think it says it went for a respray and is actually painted, not vinyl or whatever......

also wants extra 1000euros for the wheels.... ill let him keep them i think......

anyone even got a quote for a complete respray? - its not the colour that bothers me, its the graphics (and lack of passenger side too :D

but at £8600 quid, could still be a bargain,..... perhaps

Truly awful IMO

Agreed

Have seen worse - the white (Regal?) one, for instance. What ever possessed him to think that would look good :o . Oh well, it takes all sorts.

the graphics are truly aweful, but i quite like the base orange. I'm sure a respray in your neck of the wood would be cheap due to the labour costs being low compared the UK, IIRC some one got there's done in lotus chrome orange in eastern Europe v cheap. What happened the the gear surround?

I think it would end up cheaper spending another 1-2K and get one which doesn't need a respray etc to get back to drivable condition

Love the orange, lairy colours really suit the VX :) Graphics are duff though, if they're not vinyl then it's a waste of time. Interior should be easy enough to sort unless those types of parts cost a fortune - surely enough VXs have been stacked over winter to pick up a centre console and a passenger footrest / mat for a reasonable price? If the graphics are painted on then you'll have to respray the entire car, with the future-value repercussions, I'd say it wouldn't be worth it. Also, if they're vinyl and been on the car a long time, then you could peel them off to find the orange underneath a brighter shade :) due to oxidation... Buy with care I'd say. Especially if the engine's been messed about with (there are a few chip-tuning and other associated german words that suggest tuning, I'm no german speaker) and you don't know who did it. Those wheels though.... they look like cheap chromed knockoffs of early 996 Porsche wheels and will weigh an absolute ton. Let him keep them, the car will handle miles better with proper, light wheels :)

Too bad we're not in the EU here. I assume. reading between the lines on your other post, that exports from Switzerland are nailed with import duty? Too bad, as there a few cars here cheaper than even that monstrosity, and they haven't been ruined by some half-wit! Another advantage is that Swiss cars are generally maintained absolutely by the book, as the Swiss tend to be a bit pointy-headed when it comes to maintaining their cars, washing machines, bicycles etc...

Completely........ Slovakia has a great tax system in the sense EVERYTHING is 19%,,,,,, income, vat, whatever, its a flat rate no matter what you earn etc which is great in some respects, but for imports...... :( im looking into the options for the swiss side of things to see if it would be cheaper to take it to UK and then move it around because there is no import tax within EU, only registration fee's here......

In respect to the "cheap Speedsters" in switzerland, where are you looking, because all the ones i have seen so far with my limited german are not 'massively' cheaper to take the risk on import.....

As to this car?...... pure comedy value........
