Don't think the 'Vauxhall VX220 sports car, made of fibreglass' comment is of much help, as I think 'collided with a row of trees' would give the same result in most cars.
As already said, awful news

Might very well be a member?
Anyone on here from Teeside
What R1CHY said,
with the car being as rare as it is and the number of members we have, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't someone on here.

Very bad news indeed. Hope it was no one off here.
The VX220 is amazingly strong and pictures have been posted in the past even of largely demolished cars where the driver has walked away from the intact ally tub. Unfortunately there are limits for all cars whatever they are made from.
Indeed, i remember after about a week of ownership - a friend that runs a breakers yard phoned me to go down and view a Blue Tubby that had hit trees @ over 80mph - the car was fooking totalled [albeit fiberglass looks worse when smashed] but this one was fooked, the engine was hanging out of it driver and passenger walked away with minor injuries ie cuts bruises, broken arm etc.
but i suppose its a different story if something comes through the roof or if the roof is off
Tis very sad
