I'm looking to set up a group buy for this big brake conversion
(check the link )

http://www.bigbrakes...sion-p-446.html

the kit for the vx is ally belled...

can peoples please post or pm me if they would be interested for around £655 including P&P, choice of rota and choice of calliper colour...

i though it would be good value compared to the £1500 or so for the A P kit.

anyone?????

Hi, you may have problems with the large diameter discs fitting under 16" wheels but would be ok on standard wheels, best check with http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/

Looks like great value, although i've heard Hi Spec aren't all that. I had their 4 pots on my Clio but they i had only done one trackday and u had them on for only 5 months so i can't make a proper judgement of them.

i am in contact with high spec direct... just come off the phone to them, they can do a 310mm grooved rota for the front, that will fit under 16" wheels. the same one that they use on the S2. all we need is 5 people interested to get 25% off rrp. this brings the total price down to £655 including vat and P&P. hope that this helps.... whos interested? i did a little research into brake conversions for the rear, there are 350 bhp audi S2 track wepons running standard rear disks........

When develping the 6 pot AP kit for the NSX with Pete Collen at AP directly he said that mid-engined cars should have a revised rear set up too. In fact, he said it was essential. He also explained why AP was better than Hi Spec (naturally!). TBH i think it is slightly misleading to say just because people leave the (conveniently cheaper) standards on the rear that it must be fine. I think it's more to do with being prepared to compromise.

Which pads for £655 are included in the deal? re rears - i was under the impression no-one does a replacement rear straight swap calliper. The hispec one is (apparently....) vapourware atm and has been for 2 years

i'm 99% sure that the pads are standard rear pads used on the front in this case, in the price they quoted me £61.25 for replacements...

And when i bought them, the fitment on the box said they were for an aston martin v8 vantage B) , so probably a little bit larger than std vx rear pads ;)

Hi Liam

Just for the record can you please state your interest in this group buy?

Thanks
Nick

Theres nothing wrong with sorting yourself out but it has to be open and honest.
