I was selling a pair of these a few weeks back and a few people expressed concern over whether they will fit

To be fair, I did have to get the dremel out and take about 5mm off one of the bottom faces :)

Yeah, I know exactly how fiddly those 3 screws are :P

After I dropped one into the door I had to invent the "JawZ screw fishing pole®" and later on develop a special secret technique to prevent any further screws from dropping into the doors

:D I just went for a bit of masking tape on the outside, and blue-tac on the driver - the posi-drive one was the worse by far  Managed to loose the 'push-out' centre bits of the rivets on the trim, now in the bottom of the door somewhere - best of all, Vaux told me that the little rivets don't exist and tried to sell me a couple of screws instead (even tho I had the rivets with me!)

Anyone got any idea where they can be purchased from, a part number would be sweet. Reason for change? Some scrote decided to drill through the entire frame of the window (including the window which went smash) then tried to run off with the stereo (didnt even manage to do that properly)!!! Little arse munch has now left a poorly finished patch job from insurance company and a shite load of shattered glass rolling round under the passenger seat, ggggrrrrrrrr! :angry2:

If you want a job doing propoerly - do it yourself! :)

They are pretty easy to do, took me maybe 2-3 hours, including sanding down the required 5mms :)

You need two on the inside of the car, as they cover the holes you use to access the screws that hold the base in place

On the Lotus mirror you need one to cover the screw that holds the outer part of the mirror to the base:
