It had a handle, I can't imagine how you would get a battery in there without one!
Only spilled a little but still a pain in the arse, just chucked a cup of water down there to dilute it. Will probably top it up next Monday. Also discovered that the heater pipe wasn't attached to the heater, although that's for another day...
