Stating the obvious but are you sure your not trying to tighten it, remember you will be approaching it from the opposite way. Are you using a 6 point socket, tried levering the mount from the top to loosen?

Best off taking the whole trim off (only takes 5 minutes) Then cutting the clips from the back and just replace them. Just done that with mine and found it the easiest way, scared off cracking those fragile cards!!

Haha, the thing is sometimes I really do want to keep it. A lot depends on how many pot holes dodgy roads I managed to avoid on way home and whether it's windy or not! Then I think, what other car can you get like that for £7k that does 40mpg and is fast?! Does VX ownership always mess with your mind like this?!
