1.Hi, Have an opel speedster 2.2 since new, purchased in 2007. Only 3k on the clock. Having problems with all the light switches. They only seem to work when they feel like it. Anyone know were I can buy some replacements.

actually he's just bobbed off line, however, he's a member here and ive explained the 'sensitivity'. Hes in N wales and a top guy whos sorted loads of people out on here. Send him a message, mention me but he'll know what its about. He is VX220nelly. good luck

you will find out all its history on a HPI or AA data check usually about 20 pounds

Sorry last question,hes told me cat D isnt major but how do i find out what happened to cause cat d please.

just shown it to my mechanis mate and quote "lol the price on that is right but would give it a good check over esp the chassis !"

you are correct, there is nothing wrong with a CAT, it just means at some point it was written off and then made road worthy and legal again, but there is a stigma which puts a lot of people off, but not everyone. Personally id want to know what made it CAT D. i would be anything from superficial paintwork or it was stolen and recovered after an insurance payout to being in a masssive smash

It was a cat D in 2003 but that was 7 years ago??
Am iright in saying that it would have passed atest (MOT) a few times after that?
Also should i get a RAC inspection at least??

tricky, mines 03 2.2 with 53000 and id get 8,000 maybe more for mine. It has been 'butchered to the extent that ita an NA made to look like a turbo (its got turbo wheels). I wouldnt be suprised if its a CAT C or D at that price, if not its truely a bargain but tbh id have my doubts
