Thanks for the reply. Four weeks isn't too bad.

Are the wheels 7" front and 8" rear ?

Oh and what offsets are they ?
Do they have the correct centre diameter or use rings.

Thanks.

7x16 & 7.5x17 with yoko AD08 205/45/16 & 225/45/17 + locking bolts and black wheel bolts
correct centres.
front et 20, rear et 36 (i think)

Beaut. Pretty much exactly what I'm after. May see if an 8" rear is an option. Will call Demon Tweeks tomorrow.

Wheels and tyres now on order from Demon Tweeks (£995). Unexpectedly, they should be with me in two to three weeks and that's in Anthracite too. Went for the 7.5 inch rear, as it seems the most popular option. :)

I don't really, dodgy braking at Le Mans resulting in locking up has left them all flat spotted and there is nothing to do apparently but to bin them.

could you not get them shaved down?

I've done 6 track days on mine and i love them. Im running 205/45/17's front and 225/45/17's rear. They are ultimatley not quite so soft as an A048 or 888, so if you need that extra tenth of a second get these instead . However for must of us the tyre makes more sense as the breakaway is more progressive and the wear rate to the ammount of grip you get is fantastic. Yes the side walls are stiffer , like a pure trackday tyre, so you do get a bit more wander on bumpy roads but nothing too drastic. That stiffer wall and the grip available give a fantastic feel on hard tight corners, instead of a normal tyre just folding up and slipping on, these buggers just hold on for dear life and give you so much confidence. The best news is the wear rate means i can do quite a few more into next year and stay safe on a wet road, so makes great economy over a 888 as they last around 5 minutes in comparison (from my experience anyway). Highly recommended.

Eventually got the VX on track today, (Snett 300), with AD08s fitted. In a nutshell - excellent. Considering that we were out in heavy rain yesterday, where the tyres lapped up the standing water, they were just as happy at full chat on track. After a little experimentation I found that it was happiest with hot pressures of 25 front and 28 rear. I'll measure them tomorrow to see what these equate to cold. Despite being nitrogen filled, there was still a considerable increase in pressure from cold to hot.

May be of use to anyone using AD08s on track. Having messed around with hot pressures on track on Monday to find the best level of grip, I've now measured them cold. Starting cold pressures I'd suggest are : Front 21 psi Rear 22 psi After a 20 minute session these came out at : Front 25 psi hot Rear 28 psi hot Will be interesting to see what other pressures are in use.

Thanks for that. I won't be out on track till next year now but I'll give those pressures a try. I'm pretty sure I just kept the std pressures the last time I was on track.
