Arrived today thumbsup

I thought these were going to make the ride feel quite harsh as they did when fitted to my mates Clio RS200. Don't seem to be much worse than the Kuhmo's that came off. Will see how they get on over the next few days. Might go and play at Knockhill tomorrow if I can find some money down the back of the sofa....

Just to say I'm a few hundred miles into AD-08 use, and they have seriously impressed me. Out on the Essex run the other week they performed really well, some corners I had a slight buttock twitch on the way in, then was pleasantly surprised when the tyres just gripped and gripped the whole way through. The thing that stands out is how progressive they've been on the limit. Have been able to hang the arse out on roundabouts (provoked!) and just catch and hold it, steering the car on the throttle. Tidy, well balanced driving, and they just hold on. Today was the first really hot day, done an hour or so of fast country driving to start bedding the brakes in. They stood up to the abuse perfectly. Next step is on track at the National, think tyre pressures will need fiddling with if as hot as today, but hopefully they'll continue to perform this well.

I'm more than happy with mine also. I did go to Knockhill on a SIDC event. Mix of Imprezas, Elises, Exiges and Caterhams. I am running std suspension and although the car rolled a lot, I was able to keep up with the AO48 booted cars. A significant improvement over the Kuhmos. As the rain came on the tyres coped very well, until the water was flooding across the track, at which point most of the Elises/Exiges gave up. I doubt any tyre would have helped then.

I got them from my friend who has a tyre fitting company. He buys direct from Yokohama and I think when he checked a couple of weeks ago they were out of stock. I could find out a due in date to the UK if you needed it?

thumbsup I almost bought a set the other day, until I got a set of 888's for cheap....... They look a great tyre! Great price 2! Looking at specs/ reviews they looked a much better tyre than the R1R.....

Pretty similar i think- the main difference is same as A048 to r888 - the yokos have a stiffer side wall

Personal preference I think whether you prefer the slightly more give the toyos have of the stiffer side walled yokos

Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but are these an equivalent to track flavour tyres like R888s and A048s? Got a set of R888s but the rears need replacing soon.... AD08s are a lot cheaper!

They got very sticky on track at the National, and didn't suffer to badly either. I've got standard suspension and certain more camber and a stiffer setup would have got the tyres working better.

What width wheels are you fitting the 205s and 225s to ? Oh and how long did Demon Tweeks take to get the wheel/tyre package out to you ? Def going for a set of these on TD 1.2s Cheers.

yep 205 & 225

DT had them in stock - they also had TD's in black but because I wanted anthracite, I had to wait about 4 weeks.

Thanks for the reply. Four weeks isn't too bad. Are the wheels 7" front and 8" rear ? Oh and what offsets are they ? Do they have the correct centre diameter or use rings. Thanks.

Unfortunately my decent set of front A048s are dead. I blame mike. :P I don't really, dodgy braking at Le Mans resulting in locking up has left them all flat spotted and there is nothing to do apparently but to bin them. The drive back was a bit vibraty and rumbley, now its back on bridgestones its like an Audi again :D thumbsup. So i might try a set of these.
