James, Do you know of the correct locking wheel nut set for the 2.2 N/A alloy wheels? Just noticed I have four missing bolts, one on each wheel :beat:

Erm, this is pretty minor but I think it's causing my roof to not locate correctly and wobble slightly. One of the plastic sleeves which cover the metal locating pins on the roof (the ones which move in and out when you remove and refit the roof) is missing on my car as I managed to bend it! No idea how to find the part number unfortunately. Any idea on price and availability of one of these? Cheers

Wrap the pin in a few layers of insulating tape. thumbsup

And get familiar with the EPC

Just use a piece of plastic tubing of the correct size to fit over the pin.

Cheers for the EPC link techie. The pin is part number 9197417 but I couldn't see the plastic coverings on the EPC. I'll see if I have some tubing to wack over it but I'd rather have the plastic plug for it!

I don't think the little plastic cover is available separately, by the looks of EPC, it isn't.

So I'm pretty clueless unfortunately Posted Image

I can order the parts, no problem. I'll stick it on a 'super get items here now order'.

I quote the lady "You can give me a ring in a few weeks and see what the situation is, hopefully we'll have some news".

I think if Vauxhall had no intention of being able to supply them, they'd have an 'issue with supplier' and then just say no longer serviced, live with it.

I think they are trying to sort it, it just takes a while.

Thanks thumbsup

Will pay you as soon as you know a delivery date

just to confirm it is parts 9198199 and 9198190

No worries, parts on order chap Posted Image

Give me a weekly PM chasing me and I'll chase them too.

Bit of an update. Anticipated delivery date 00/00/0000. Not ideal.

I gave them a ring, and got told supplier issue again. I then asked if they were trying to sort it out or if they'd just turn around and say NLS. Chap said that it doesn't look like they'd drop the part and that they're sorting it out now.

So fingers crossed, they'll get it sorted.

Yep, can get a complete 3rd party replacement for £189 + VAT, I think it was with a 2yr/24,000 mile warranty. Though the muppets that sell it reckon the OEM stuff can't be rebuilt, so refuse to sell CV joints on their own. :beat:

I should take one of the knackered ones I've got here up to Geary at Elise Parts and see if they can source reasonably priced replacements.

One driveshaft with a totally fuggered inboard CV joint (that went at Anglesey last year). Plus the one with the fuggered inboard boot from the other night. Going to have to raise the rear ride height at this rate in an effort to keep the shaft and joints all in a nice straight/level line. Going to send the totalled one back as an exchange for one of these aftermarket driveshafts, me thinks. It's useless as it currently stands and at £180 for a CV joint on it's own, I might as well get the whole thing.

Another one from me... Full set of wishbone bushes. Been hunting the best deal, and so far McLarenBoss seems to be champ, but would be intrigued to know what you could source them for.

Crikey.

Fronts
Upper wishbone to chassis front - 9197832 - £21+VAT
Upper wishbone to chassis rear - 9197783 - £22.50+VAT
Lower wishbone to chassis (2 required) - 9197832 - £21+VAT x2

Rears
Upper wishbone to chassis (2 required) - 9197832 - £21+VAT x2
Lower wishbone to chassis rear - 9197832 - £21+VAT
Lower wishbone to chassis front - 9197862 - £20+VAT

So, you're looking at £168.50+VAT (£202.20 incl.VAT). No retail prices listed for any of the above.
