I just had a quick google to see how much they go for, Powerflex ones (from Driftworks) are cheaper than mine - http://www.driftwork...x220-00-05.html

Brilliant.

Hold your horses, I don't think that's right.

I think those are just per wishbone prices and not per "axle", so the £168.50 + VAT will need to be doubled to sort the other side of the car out.

Was wondering actually, as I looked back at the price per unit and that seemed too low.

Dave is back in the lead.

Update for anyone interested... I can source the correct self locking nuts for the Track Control Arms from my local stockist. So if anyone wants some you can get them locally or give me a nudge and I can sort a set of four posted for £5 (which is 50% item cost, about 35% postage and 15% for my petrol to use the shitty way home traffic wise). Hope AstonVauxhall don't see this as pushing for trade, not my intention, but as has been said by them they are a ridiculous price via their supply lines. And AutoVaux recommended going elsewhere as well.

What's actually so special about these nuts? Are they just fine pitch as opposed to standard/coarse?

Not pushing for trade at all chap, you're more than welcome. It's more helpful for everyone who buys any tie rods from me. Posted Image

In future, if/when someone buys some from me, I can also point them your way if you want?

Can do, then it at least gives someone a backup and I should be able to get them to them as quick as they get the main parts from you.

I'll actually call back and get a couple of sets purchased this week so I can have some ready packed to be sent straight away.

The bolt shop of mine did say it was an abnormal thread on them, but when I said how much they can be supplied for he needed to get himself a screen wipe for his PC.

Only the anodised black one I'm afraid.

VXR anodised black aluminium gate - 93184410 - ££141+VAT (Retail £167+VAT)

Silver one is still showing ok on EPC, but when I put the number in to my online parts order system, it tells me part is no longer serviced.

Shield/deflector - 93183005 - £17.95+VAT (Retail £21.25+VAT)
I'm unsure what brackets/screws etc you'll need also?

Regarding the official handbook, I'll do my best.

You can download one from www.gmproductforum.co.uk but if you really want a hand copy I'll enquire if they're still available.

Assuming there's a difference, did you want one for a 2.2 or VXT? And did you want the little case it all comes in?

Not wanting to hijack, but I have a box of them at home now, can't remember how much I paid but it was something miniscule like 50p each :)

They are different to the old nuts basically.

I think I've probably got twenty of them as well. When I did my full refresh, I went through every page of TIS and worked out all of the nuts/bolts that might feasibly need to be replaced. I remember buying a bag of "special" nyloc nuts (that had a different coloured nylon insert in) for some purpose that I never needed to use. Presumably as I've got the Spitfire tie rods on.

Yep the ones I have contain dark blue or white inserts. Not sure why they decided to change the design though...

Car failed its MOT today for rear fog switch and emissions. I have taken the Rear fog switch apart and managed to get it working (no click before) and i thought that i would compare it to the side lights switch (which i believe is the same as the vectra B air con switch) Unfortunately that switch decided to fail and now rattles :angry2: Please can you give me a price for the following 1 - side lights switch and Vectra B Air con switch as i have heard it is cheaper. 2 - Rear Fog light switch 3 - Pre Lambda sensor (have the post sensor ready to fit) Many thanks

Yep... Sounds about right... Think they worked out at 52p each for the ones I got. If you have a boxfull already then see if AstonVauxhall can recommend contacting you and clear those out before I source and send them.

Pointless me buying and sorting if you already have them ready to do.
