You only submit 6 out of 7 stages but the critical point is that a 'no show' DOES NOT count as a round eligible to drop.
Implications of this is that Ronnie Amis my main competitor has registered a 'no show' for not coming to Knockhill AND had to drop his 3'rd position points from Oulton Park... Meaning his adjusted total thus far is 320 points.
The disaster at Cadwell still counts as a stage eligible for dropping as we attended and signed on but had to retire due to the mechanical.
Meaning we're actually on 406 points which puts us in joint 1'st place (by the skin of our teeth). All we need to do is finish ahead of Umar Masood for the last two stages of the season and we're too far ahead to be caught.... The win will be ours!
Add to this that a potential new sponsor has stepped in to help (Mr Nelly of www.field-service.co.uk ) as well as Joe's rather heroic efforts on the engine front I reckon we might be able to finish the season....
Le Mans is going to be a very improtant shake down!
Please let this mark the end of my shite luck!
