Hi, New, it is 365,5bhp I'm running k06 from turbo dynamics a lot of custom work on that engine done by my self. fully forged bottom end with a lot of head work. remap was done at regal, i have very good relation with them, they have done remap on my cali with let engine with garet 2871r and that is pushing 370bhp and 369lbf :)/>

Hi Dally, that must be an excellent engine, I knew it couldn't be a K04! I hadn't realised that a K06 could puff that hard/high up the rev band (am I right in thinking that it's just got the larger diam. compressor wheel?). According my calcs you must get peak power at over 6600 RPM roughly. Good effort though, would be good to have a chat with you some time, as you must know your onions if you did all the work yourself. My mobile number and email address is on the front page of my website (link the footer) if you feel the inclination :)/>

Wow, that K06 must be substantially bigger than a K04 then. I will try and get reading up on it as bed time reading :)

i think next solid lifter so can push it over 8500 at the moment limited to 7500 with hydraulic lifters and yes i was just as surprised as u are on my cali with Gareth 370bhp which we could lean it of but no point it is more show car than race

Solid lifters (and stronger springs) will certainly let you rev the hell out of it. However, the limiting factor is the OEM oil pump, as it may start cavitating the oil. If that happens for any sort of time you will be pumping froth down your oil galleries instead of oil! Apparently SDB or somewhere does an "uprated"/race one that might cope with big revs better. Can you PM me your mobile number pls ?

good to know, what would u recommend to rev it? I personally think it can stay as is it but to be safe. i have already double springs so safe on that :)

I dunno what the OEM is genuinely safe to rev to TBH. I do know however, that I take my engine up to 8000 RPM for very brief (and worrying!) split seconds and have had no problems with worn shells or cam lobes etc. I usually try to shift at around 7500 RPM, but must have been up to 8000 RPM countless times. At that sort of pace it's impossible to feel or hear subtleties like oil pressure failure. The only way to detect it would be an oil pressure sensor + gauge (with VERY loud audible alarm) located directly after the pump, however I don't have one fitted. I'm not keen on "worry gauges" !
