Im not sure either,Induction,piper,de cat,map,so 10,12,may be 15 above standard ???? So how about half way 12 ,that would give me 157 ish.Is that about right????



It's not just about the actual bhp & torque, but the quality of the mapping.

I had the old AMD map which produced 153 on my NA with Full 2" Milltek and Piper Viper.

Now producing 159 with same components but with Full rolling road and ECU adjustments at Courtenay Sport.
The car revs much higher, better and cleaner, uses less fuel and makes more power.

The problem lies with the Siemens ECU on NA's which is a bitch to crack fully, and has less parameters for adjustment once you get in.
(Turbo uses Bosch ecu)

Courtenay are the only ones who fully understand how to manipulate the Siemens "brain".
That's why all the SC guys have to go there for mapping regardless of who installs the hardware.

A well maintained 2.2 with decent exhaust / intake plus Courtenay rolling road session is a very nice car to drive. Excellent on the road and just enough oomph for the Track (without a passenger......)

A more extremely tuned NA will be Awesome on track, but less tractable on the road (low rpms will be affected and will use a worrying amount of fuel around town.....)

Turbo Stage 2 is best of both worlds really, but some of us like NA's just because we do :-))))

It's a weird feeling isn't it, I sometimes get NA rental cars for work and they are so different to drive after 15+ years of turbo'd cars. I got one a Fiat 500 once (with the tiny petrol engine) and it felt dangerous to step into the fast/overtaking lane of the motorway as there was almost no perceptible acceleration for about 5 seconds, and by then some rep mobile was behind me flashing his lights! Whenever I book a car with them now I insist on TDI or at least a mid sized NA engine.
