does the conversion retain many of the Z22SE sensors or are they swaped for Z20let ones?

you either;

buy a corsa 1.2 16v engine loom and modify that to fit, but you will need sections of the z22se engine loom and it's a total ballache :beat:

or

buy the vxT short loom (which goes from the blue/black plugs to the ecu) and the vxT engine loom, then modify them to fit - which is quite easy thumbsup

Superb. Thats EXACTLY what I needed to know. Thanks. Strangely I have a spare Z22 loom so I can go down either route although I'd prefer the easier option!

I have a corsa loom if required

does the conversion retain many of the Z22SE sensors or are they swaped for Z20let ones?

plugs are;
tb - vxT
knock sensor - vxT
AMM - vxT
TMAP - vxT
coilpack - vxT
Atmospheric pressure - vxT
coolant - z22se or vxT ? - Nick has z22se, Joe has vxT
crank - z22se - needs extending to reach the external trigger wheel, Joe has the z22yh crank
fuel tank vent valve - z22se

lambda - vxT - same as the post cat z22se sensor, you simply move the z22se lambda to the pre cat position and blank off the post cat as the vxT ecu doesn't need it (switched off by Courtenay for this conversion)

if you have the vxT looms it's quite easy to do

the corsa and z22se looms require serious modification, of which the easy bit is moving approx 20 ecu socket wiring pins :beat:

Hmmm, think I'll get myself a tubby loom then! Just a thought aside....many years ago when I did some turbo conversions they were mapped on MAP only not on MAF. In fact there was no MAF sensor at all. Given the complete openess of the turbo ECU do we need to use the MAF sensor at all? WRT lambda's. My first lambda was fooked so I cut the plug off and used a spare second lambda and it s been fine for a year or two so far. I guess its just the plug thats different?

Might order a plug so I can use the old front other lambda again, cheaper than buying another unit

No nothing no word at all. Am in Geneva at present and left my phone at home so can't even call!

I keep checking the z22se forum in case Jon has updated the "too far" post

Fingers crossed they'll find some time this week. What we really need is some really heavy snow so that people cancel their existing appointments.
