Update, Just spoke to Jon The car is ready for the dyno, now awaiting a slot as I missed my original one by a few months  The second there is space on it goes. If you change the ecu you either need the keys(chips) and barrel unit that came with the ecu or do as Muncher did and pay £25 for the code from Vauxhall. the other things that were on the ecu like a/c traction(if there) are just written out.

I was told they'd need the immobiliser regardless (in addition to the code). It's £50 to get the ECU re-coded to the immobiliser and keys.

you can erase the immo code out of the flash dump then it will also start without the immo on the K Line and you can switch the ecus as much as you like. the actual immo is a 27c256 inside

I go looking in dark furtive places to find such information. Lets just say the whole industry isn't 100% legit.

Just an update Jon is flat out with numerous cars. I had hoped to keep the cost down by getting it on the dyno when space was available but it's not going to happen so it's has been booked in now and goes on the dyne the 2nd of November. Lets hope thats the end of the saga..
