My pleasure. Happy to help where I can, though I'm leaving the bonnet alignment up to you. Bear in mind I can't open the bonnet on mine, since I last refitted the front clam.

God awful camera phone picture but proof there is progress:

And Nick is the first Bedford SC owner to actually pull his finger out and fit Robin's splitter.

that believe it or not is level with the underside of the clam only sits 3mm lower ( thickness of the splitter)

Tried everything I can with the latch and it will only release as far as the first catch on the locking pin. Even increased the size of the hole in the bracket the whole mechanism bolts onto to give it a wider range of adjustment. Just wont have it though. Bonnet is lined up perfectly all around it's edge, so it's not that thats skew whiff either. Fecking car. Probably need to sort it for the MOT unless I can persuade them that the fact you have to wiggle it and yank it open is a trackday safety feature. :(

so either the clam isn't quite in the right place. the hinge has moved out of alignment the spring is knackered the plalform for the catch is moving around the plaform for the catch is bent You f***ed it up :P What about favouring operation and mis aligning it slightly, does it work then?

You might be right Steve. It definitely does the "kerr" bit. I'm just missing the "lunk".

I adjusted mine and it didn't open..... JG came round, wiggled a bit (and the bonnet) and it worked. We tested it, tried it and then closed it fully. It opens just fine now.

Have you thought of using bonnet pins for the front and back lids? I'm doing this to save on hassle and ditch a KG or 2 of iron hinges on the bonnet and boot...

The na boot hinges are very light compared to the vxt ones. The front hinge saves about 1kg but looks crap IMO

Finally! Good luck on Tuesday. Imnotworthy Did you ever send your headlights off to that place that reckoned they could polish them? Had them back yet, if so?
