Without going through the whole thread, can I summarise the aim of this phase of NickB777's project is to get a OEM ECU to work on a Z22SE SC, allowing a more precise engine map, to get rid of the sometimes poor response, overfueling and somewhat lumpiness (couldn't think of a better word!) that seems to affect the tweeked NA ECU..?

No.... Nick is running a Harrop rather than a M62 like the other stage 1/2 cars.

As Joe said this SHOULD allow me to run the z20let ecu on the z22se engine running a Harrop s/c which it is not possible to map properly (over 320bhp with S/C cams in) using the z22se ecu as it is still partially locked, the z20let ecu is open to all. The problem with it is the fact the z20let ecu was designed for a turbo application which has meant considerable rewriting of the software that Klassen has done. Also allowing me to keep most things oem if I had not knackered my scanguage I could use that also. 94% because the other harrop test car, had a cat failure which caused more problems won't mention hows it was but not one of Jims Joe will be running a LSJ ( with after market software) ecu and a third party will be running a DTA (with FBW TB) which ever does best (cost also involved) will became the high powered ecu of choice IMHO

Rik on the z22 site although at the moment he is mapping for blower cams, low comp pistons, m62, ported head act. so will be interesting how the DTA performs compared to the z22se unit

Have DTA finally released the drive-by-wire module then? Or is it still a piece of vapourware?

Yep that went some time ago he has had a couple of places do the mapping there is one place not far from Bedford which does DTA s/c mini's

Have DTA finally released the drive-by-wire module then? Or is it still a piece of vapourware?

Yet he has one cost a bit though but that was/is my next option it just connects directly to the DTA ecu there is a vx220 running one in Taiwan already

Great, this Harrop stuff is turning into an ecu-tuning race and it will be a close finish between the 2.
But in the end both should give the same results. (Although Joe should have a bit more headroom with his head, cams and injectors...)
