something is wrong here,  we had the car running ok, I went to start it this morning and a totally dead battery, I did some checking of the wiring I had done and realised I had connected my wideband Lambda to a permanently live feed not a ignition switched feed. I redid this correctly, while wating to charge the battery up again I wired in the WI system.

I went to start it and had a constant EML light up. I now seem not to be able to get an intake air temp plus it's not checking lambdas, anyone any ideas, here are the logs.

i have looked throught he text file and compared to mine. all looks very similar.

This sheet says you are getting no engine management error codes, but have you checked to make sure?

I would also say a wiring problem with the lambda sensors.

Can you not 'switch off' the second lambda in the software?  One less thing to stress over.

I don't think so. All you can turn off is the cat efficiency check so you can remove the cat. It users the second sensor as a safety check in case lambda 1 fails when logging learning the fuel map.

i asked peter that, the answer is no because

The ECU is still using the second lambda as a backup to the main lambda sensor. So the second lambda is still used to check if your engine is running lean etc. So when you switch of the cat check in ObdTuner  the ECU will not use the second lambda for checking on the cat, but all the other checks remain working.

interesting.. I didnt realise that - thought it was disabled completely by that option in the software

I think I had this too, second lambda is not hooked up at all (but can be I suppose)

I dont think the software will let you map with an error code in place.

I hadnt run a second lambda for a while, the CMS map disables it. But i need to put one back in for the OBD tuner software. I think I mentioned this before. You could put a cheater in, but you are only cheating yourself, so to speak.

And cheating the software which you don't want to do when mapping
