Go and nick Lee's AFR gauge and hook it up to the wideband controller to see what, if anything, it's doing.

Why doesn't it give the values after 71 seconds or so when you are still blipping throttle for longer

Nick you can check by doing a log driving at constant speed. You should see the logged AFR is between 14 and 15 in real time. Then as you put your foot down it should drop 11 - 13 and decelerating 20 ish.

Did you start logging twice there seems to be a bit of interference to

Just started up my copy of OBD tuner and loaded Nicks calibration. (1st time I play with a real calibration in it. :-) )

You can log Target AFR together with your measured AFR to see what is what. Only the decelleration fuel cut-off will not show in the target AFR, so drive smooth and decellerate with the clutch in to get a good AFR log.

What wideband is fitted? You probably need to tweak the EGR>AFR conversion formula a bit to get it spot on. (it's an analog voltage signal so any wiring signal/ground offset will influence your AFR reading.)

Edit: Why do I see those straight lines running through the graphs in the log? Looks like there are 2 logs together? (Sorry, I'm spoiled by my HPTuners scanner logs...)

I am running a PLX the ground runs to the ecu, plx do sujest putting a capaciter between the signal and ground colase to the ecu

http://www.plxdevice...RUsersGuide.pdf Peter said he didn't think it would need it.

Driving it hooked up and logging is the only way to check really

No, I meant that ground offsets can influence your signal processing, but running the WB ground to the same the ecu ground point is good practice. thumbsup

You simply need to check if it's measuring around 14.7AFR when running in Closed Loop and then maybe tweak the WB settings to get it spot on. (Will check that link)

Did you perform a free air calibration on the sensor?

Edit; cannot read it in the manual, but do you need to erase a log (in the ecu) before you start another? It really looks like 2 sessions together...

no free air calibration, PLX was about the only one which didn't need it

will clear the logs

PLX looks pretty straight forward and the only way to check it is to  simply drive in Closed Loop and log the AFR readings.

(Edit: best start a fresh log with a warm engine, so the fuelling does not get messed up with enrichment phases.)

rallly

Also getting the double traces not sure what is going on with that. Clear all logged data then stat from scratch.

Ok did a power run, didn't go that well. I only did one as peak power was well down at 6400rpm then it was like hitting the limiter

nick you have a lot of knock

double click on the lines at bottom of page and hover over the lines,

peter only thinks 0.5 % of knock is acceptable

the car went lean at 6800 rpm,

looks like fuel starvation

not certain why it didn't record from 2000rpm

I did this on the map which I have updated from the learning process.

ignition was all over the place

I have an bosch 044 and swirl pot so shouldn't be fuel starvation.

can you do a logging session with a WOT run upto around 6800 rpm then we can see more information from logging might be able to pick up from that a problem.
