great thumbsup thanks

Just pluming the MAF in. someone mentioned the optimum distance from the TB, am searching now..

just noticed the coolant temp sensor has a different plug, so new sensor required, should run though

general rule of thumb is flow in a pipe will have recoved by 5x the internal diameter after a disturbance.

so 70mm x5 = 350mm , 80mm x5 = 400mm

is the throttle body upstream of the MAF , or vica versa?

got it all hooked up, had a bit of trouble with the alarm seems ok now, think the fob battery is low, it turns over but no spark, I tried another coil pack and still nothing, not certain the scangauge is connected properly, shows no faults Edit, throttle is working

Is the fuel pump priming and is the throttle body moving ? Does the scangage work on the turbo ecu ?

throttle is working with power applied, I had a z20let coil pack I had some plugs which I just took out so put all four in the coil pack, laying on the head and tried to start it, no spare from either pack no spark tool but I should be able to see if they are sparking

there is a small spade connector on the loom that must be earthed to the ECU,

all relays are in, button pressed, when you turn the ignition on the pumps are not priming, also the fan is on until you crank the engine, that might be because of the lack of coolant sensor though

I have the ecu + 2 key chips ( 1 installed in my old key) + ignition unit so all should be paired up and alarm is not operating

the crank sensor gives the signal to the ecu for the coilpack to fire however, relay K18 brown (five wires on base) powers the coilpack / fuel pump / relay K16 / various other stuff you should have +12v on pins 30 and 86 (comes from the fuse FL4 under the windscreen) pin 87 and 85 are the +12v outputs to the coilpack etc pin 85 is a switched negative from the ecu I would check the 12v is present and then you can earth out the pin 85 (K18) to check the relay is working
