Hi guys, what do you lot think of these http://www.autobra.c.../shop/index.php Just a thought, would be great on long motorways traveling to meets! or would it just look stupid? Can see why a fibreglass car would need it more than most.

 Another import that should have stayed out in the colonies. I'd rather get the front of the car resprayed twice a year than have that anywhere near my car. Stone chip chic, for the win!

Just fit armourfend. A bra would make you look like a right tit.

Some of the cars I see these on must cost less than the actual bra itself.

The mere fact that they are called bras say it all really. My mate had a mint VW camper and I must admit it looked OK on this and helped protect the huge flat front area - but otherwise no, no, no......

I guess there is that option, can you buy it for diy fitment?

I believe its best fitted by professionals and isn't at all easy to DIY.

You really really don't want to try fitting paintshield / armoutfend yourself! Watching the professionals do it makes you realise just how hard it is to get right!

:yeahthat:

Couldn't believe how complicated it was and how much stretching and shrinking was required for something that is meant to be cut to fit. Still not sure whether I'd bother with it again in future. It definitely still gets battered, though it did save me from what looked like a guided missile that LeeVX's car launched at me on the run back from Le Mans last year. That actually pierced the Ventureshield but saved the clam and paintwork underneath - looks a bit messy though.

I'm having the Elise done tomorrow at CoverTech, full front covered, OE film removed off the sill's and then both sill's fully covered in one piece, mirrors & lights done for £550

From the PaintShield web site

in this photograph two vx220’s both cars have equivalent mileage, one has our product on (fitted when new) the other does not! Need we say more? Which car would you prefer to be yours?

One looks like it has been used hard on track though and one doesn't!!!

I'd love a bra for winter & motorway driving. I don't care what it looks like through daily winter use aslong as it looks great come summer time and at shows. Sadly they dont make them for the vx and someone would have to loan their VX to design and make one at autobra. It would be quite akward to get them to fit also as the straps usually fit under the bonnet on a normal car.
