It's really not that bad, although I wasn't bolting on dry calipers and starting from scratch (like I think you are JG)

We have a new one at work. Pour some fluid in. Plug it in. Screw it onto the reservoir. Open a nipple, wait a few minutes then close and move onto the next. Really couldnt be simpler :)

I have a spare if anyone wants one. Cocopops fixed my original one. thumbsup I'm about to go and do round two. Need to do a wheel swap anyway so i suppose its no big deal.

I just use the old school method, flexi pipe with a oneway valve. I can't see how it saves time as you need wheels off to do a proper inspection, so putting the drain pipe on and 11mm spanner. Just put 1L of new stuff through, before the trackday , and another 500ml after plus inspect the amount of wear on pads. I've also gone back to very low viscosity dot4 fluid at the compromise of temperature ratings and needing more regular changes. The ATE super blue badly stains all the system and I'm didn't really get on with it on pedal feel.

I lasted for about 3 months on SuperBlue before deciding I'd been better off on the RBF600 I'd always used until that point and replaced it. Luckily there was no staining but I flushed a litre of Halfords finest DOT4 through before refilling with RBF600.

I use an EeziBleed on steroids (as well one way valves on the nipples) and it always works a treat. It's got a huge internal reservoir, so no running backwards and forwards to make sure your first 0.5l in the EeziBleed isn't about to run out. Overkill? Quite probably but that's the Techie way. :D

Actually i get on quite well with easybleed. All done now, nice hard pedal. engine/clutch valve seems to have helped, though with all the SC crap in the way, its a bugger to get to.

Got a nice camshaft driven vacuum pump on this B207R engine. Maybe I should retain it for brake servo assistance instead of blank it.

i would. I've been investigating electric vacuum booster pumps. Last time i think i got to here: http://www.autoanyth...9A3151A0A0.aspx They draw quite a lot of current. The vw one might be pretty good, though anything with control unit on it is a bit scary. http://www.volkspage...ssp/SSP_257.pdf

I just don't suffer the old "lack of servo" problems to any extent since the switch to the Exige ABS ecu. Didn't Nev manage to use a pump from a Volvo or similar, on his car?

Here you go, bin your idler pulley and fit this in it's place (P.S. I only linked to it as it was shiny and new). Should be man enough to create a little bit of negative pressure.

We have the box for a pro eazibleed like Matts, but I can't find the contents :( I'm thinking that the ATE was a nice gimmick and a 'cheap' interim solution but in reality I got on better with Mintex oem grade 5.1 fluid and it lasted longer

Make sure the pipe in the bottle is attached to the lid. Mine fell off and soda-streamed my first caliper!!! EDIT: Good guide, cheers

Did mine in absolutely no time. A syringe is frankly a must if you have blackened goo in the reserve tank. Didn't even take the fronts off. Some bubbles but not much and nice clean fluid = no change in feel but I'm much more confident in them now.
