there is an alternative way to make more bangs per minute , and have a silly short 74.8mm stroke, 89mm bore and a much better noise Z2?NET

I dont understand please explain (I hope you don't lecture english)

well 9615 rpm = 19230 bangs per minute in a 4 cylinder , whereas at 8000, with a i6 or v6 you've got 24000bpm and much less stress on everything

you either make bigger bangs or more of them

I have increased the wheelbase opening up my options

First configuration is i4 with my own throttle bodies and special F23 gearbox
Second configuration is twin turbo'ed V6 with renault transaxle

I don't have any issues regards choice as long as the engine can rev high & slam accelerate quickly

That's certainly an interesting concept thumbsup The welds look a tad  though Was the design worked through solidworks?

 Fairplay, I love off the cuff Engineering thumbsup Presumably there is going to be some big time triangulation to the top of the subframe/roll bar?

I did, it cantilevered fwd quite a bit. I hope your driveshafts and particularily your CV joints don't snap with the extra stress of the forced sharp angles. Might be worth outting some really meaty lobro joints in it...

Lots of thought has clearly gone into it. Great project, I wish I had the balls (and money) to do this sort of thing.

Are you not going to tie the subframe into the rool over structure for incresed torsional rigidity?

The driveline axis has moved rearwards 100mm up 60mm

The whole engine gearbox is rotated 30deg on that driveline axis

driveline is square in three planes! (the standard car IS NOT)

Great effort Doc, keep it up. I look forward to your updates. Fancy donating your old rear subframe to charity?

looks great. really interesting. i would love to have the talent to do that. if it were mine though and i could make my own subframe and clams i would love to put a boxster engine and box in. Low down in line boxer and transaxle......but then i guess i dont have the right to even type such deams as i have neither talent nor money!
