Were just doing a service and also changing the fuel filter. Au hall supplied us with one but is different to the one on it. It's just the inside that's different. Here's the pics.

The one in the left is what we took off

I had the same problem when I got mine from Camskill a few years back, ended up ordering from a main dealer

Turns out the one from Vauxhall is wrong despite their system saying it's correct. Got one from car spares near me in the end. They are Rover filters.

I rang autovaux today about the fuel filter as they have sent me the same one as yours in the picture. They told me its the correct one and he also came onto this thread to have a look himself. I dont want to take the risk so i was wondering if anyone knows where i can buy the rover one new or which model of rover it is from as ive got till Saturday to get this part.

Dunno. It may just be a filter for the Z22SE in an Astra or Vectra and that we need a slightly different setup in the VX.

Not sure tbh with you Joe but I'm sure that he said that the turbo one was different to the n/a one. Do you reckon phoenix could get it to me before Saturday if so il give them a ring.

Had the same problem. Got a Turbo one when I ordered one for an NA. Had to look up the part number on the filter to get the right one.

Bloody Autovaux, they sent me the wrong one, so I told them it was the wrong one and they said their system said it was the right one! After a bit of discussion they took it back and said that they would update their system because its obviously wrong, seems they didn't bother. The only way I found to get the right one is to go to the stealers with the part number!

Don't bother with ebay either, ordered from 2 different people on there, wrong one both times!

Right then, bit of an update with long story.

Incorrect stock in warehouse, which is quite obvious.

I ordered a fuel filter, the 'Wix' one arrived, which is incorrect. I spoke to EPC, it's the correct part number, it's never been superseded or modified, so therefore, correct.

He then mentioned that VX220 fuel filters (not sure if only 2.2) actually come from Lotus, which is surprising.

The correct fuel filter should have the following 'A082L4204F' Lotus part number stamped on it, which it hasn't so it's a case of incorrect stock.

My next step is to send a fax to Vauxhall in Luton to ask them to check the stock (did that 5 mins ago), and they'll update me after they've checked their stock and their supplier.

I'm amazed no-one has done this yet? Surely the people supplying AutoVaux have done this? But fair enough...

My next question was, theoretically, could you order the part directly from Lotus, and I was told yes, but don't tell people to do that as we're Vauxhall etc. So, if you can find the Lotus part number in this post and use your common sense, then great Posted Image

I'll update this when the fuel filter supply issue is sorted or when I hear more.

You're a good man James. thumbsup

Just checked a Lotus parts supplier and that part does indeed look like the correct filter for the VX NA here.

It would be helpful to get the flow/rate "X" litres per hour at pressure "Y" information up here too as this could be a factor in forced induction upgrades.
