If your planning on painting them (which would be a crime!) you'd be just as well off with a pair made from GRP and shirley they'd be a lot cheaper.

Well executed. The reverse and fog lights should be swapped for UK though.

I thnk they look pretty good, and no more steaming up either! Posted Image

Perhaps GRP would look almost as good but at a fraction of the price.

I am undecided if i like these or not, i would like to ask though: How do you make these? By that i mean is it one sheet of pre preg per layer or do you have to cut different parts to make up a layer? Also how many layers per light surround and what is the layup orientation? Sorry for the questions im just interested :)

I must admit that I don't like them. To me it makes the car look like a badly designed 'kit car'! They do Look well made though.... If I was going to make lights them make them similar to the originals then they would sell. ie (at the right price). ie similar light cluster but behind a clear cover as the original. Replacement front lights may be good to produce.

Its nice to see a solution to the falling availability of lights. Front ones please!! It might work out better to carbon skin over glass to make them cheaper. Obviously the weak pound makes them extremely expensive here.

Thanks for your coments, of course the price is for both including all fittingparts and the led lights. The taillights can be fully painted in your colour or only the outerside of the taillights and the inner rings were the LED lights are can be in Carbon fibre. Sorry my english is not that good.

Your english is excellent! Be proud of it. I wish I could master another language but I find it incredibly difficult.

Thanks!! The price problem is not the material, if its grp or carbon fibre it doesn´t matter, but the production technology does the price. we made them in vacuum infusion technology, that means optimal fiber-resin impregnation, so the lights weight is only 800 gramm fully populated per light, also the hella moduls are very expensiv. I think if we found some buyer we could give a quantity discount also the shipping to UK is not that cheap for one light set. If we could pack 3 or more lights into one box, we could also save money for shipping. I will make pictures in the dark, that you can see how they looks like illuminated. Actually there is no engine inside..thats why the exhaust is a slightly crooked. Have a nice weekend

Gosh! resin infusion is some serious tech for making lights. I'd imagine a part of this size wouldn't be too much heavier if made in pre-preg or even vac formed wet lay up? I appreciate the cost in the light units would be a difficult one to address on low volume production. Unfortunately the cost might be an issue with the current exchange.
