the fastest 0 - 60 i've been in is my mates Evo which is running 380bhp and when he put his foot down from a standing start i couldnts stop smiling i've never been in a car that doesnt spin in first gear lol,

Ah the joys of 4-wheel drive and tricky diffs to send the power where it can be used fully. That's why Evo/Scooby's are so quick off the line.

It's not as easy as just burying the throttle on the VX. Whilst they've got great traction off the line as the weight transfers to the rear and presses the tyres into the road, they'll (especially if it's a Stage 4) happily spin up the rear wheels, if driven like a hooligan.

I never do 0 - 60 anyway i never see the point. Maybe in the VXT i will do a few as i'd be able to do it :D But it gives me shivers when i do it knowing im wearing my clutch out

not so much the clutch on the VX, but more the killing of the upper engine mounts, the tamping like fcuk the damn thing does and generally being a waste of time unless you have a bright yellow one that can pop wheelies

don't know how highly tuned that is, or is the R8 (IF?) is actually going for it

Get a VXT, it will be all you want and more, you won't care about speed, even though they are quick!

like what paul says suggest driver training day, yes this means you have to admit you arent a formula 1 driver but it REALLY helps

i will be doing this when its up and running

Will defo do this. Back to topic though lol, no one had a play with another car rolling start... what was the outcome?

I've seen a vid on youtube with a stage 4 VXT going from 100mph to 140mph i think and it does seem quicker than mine but you cant really tell off speedos

i was following a st2 Tubby (with a fcuked clutch) and we come across a Golf turbo doing about 70.. I stuck with the golf turbo till 135. the VXTubby just walked away from us... all i could smell was his clutch so he was not even getting his power down.

I have a standard 2.2

hope this helps

Only thing I can add is that if you are looking for a 'top speed' beating people on the motorway etc then yes a stage whatever tuned VX will do it BUT you will feel like you're hanging on for dear life and it'll probably sound like you're in an aeroplane with a window open. If you were to do the same speeds in, say, an M3 you could probably do it one handed whilst deciding whether you want the climate control at 22.0 degrees or 22.1 degrees. M3s (especially CSLs) have a good reputation for handling too. Perhaps consider a test drive in one of these as well a VX test drive.

I'm from Hartlepool and if you fancy the trip down I'll take you for a passenger ride in my Stage 2 VXT to see what you think. Not into giving out test drives though.

Well after all that seaching i've only found 1 VX220 in the north east area but its a 2.2, im going over to have a look at it later, sit in it and see how it feels and so on. Whats the difference to look at between the 2.2 and turbo? Also whats the difference interior wise, are the seats the same? I would test drive it but it would be in a complete different leage to a stage 4 VXT? lol Obviously wont be buying it, just having a feel

The VXT looks like a Corsa and the N/A looks like an omega inside.
