This is from the wavy arms, so I take almost everything with a fist of salt.
They do suggest some Selenia Abarth spec 5/40 or 10/50 or 10/60 oils, with no actual spec other than an abarth approval number etc... twats.
Its just a 1400 T-Jet engine

You're fine using A3/B4. Most API claims will be SL on these oils but that's because it's simple to add that claim on rather than because it means anything.

Just bumping this thread to see if there's been much change in oils since 2011. Is the Motul 300v oil still up there?
Only just seen this. Mosul 300V is still the best of the competition oils (based on my testing) however it will be compromised for day to day use as it isn't designed for the fuel dilution and water content that occurs with stop start use. If you're tracking regularly and willing to change oil often then use it, otherwise I would suggest Shell Helix Ultra based on the price vs. specs. (despite not being produced by my company!)

Hello,
Just read this topic and I'd like to know how does Liqui Moly Leichtlauf race tech GT1 10W-60 compare with Fuchs Titan sypersyn

Are they claiming or recommending?
If they are claiming then refer them to VLS - http://www.ukla-vls.org.uk/

is this an oil manufacturer or OEM?
Technical ACEA C3 only limit viscosity grade to SAE J300 limits, which currently range from 0W-8 to 25W-60, however do limit HTHS to >3.5. No upper limit so higher viscosity grades are fine.

FYI, full specifications can be found here: http://www.infineum.com/media/16389/ACEA-2012-Oil-sequences.pdf
I don't think we can distribute J300 specs, but you'll be able to find older versions on google.

lack of ACEAACSAA rating, but in the hand book it states "this, or anything else C3"

Strange one. That doesn't have any ACEA claims, at a guess this will be because it's based on old technology which once upon a time could claim C3, other it's full on pikey and they didn't want to claim ACEA because it's specific to Abarth

if they've specified the oil by brand then you could get them for monopolistic practices, which is what's currently happening to another manufacturer.

out of the three, i would take the Shell. This is because they are more conservative with their claims so the oil must perform better than others for the same performance claim.

I used the shell 10/60 in my 2.2 in the UK for a few years (got a lod of it suspiciously cheap ) and it was fine
