I've been thinking of the Elise/VX as they're so different from the TVR, bit unsure about the whole sill issue though, at 6'1 with a narrow garage getting in and out could be an issue!

Found the Lotus boys having a gossip about these:

Intake vents look better than I thought they would and there appears to be more of a rear diffuser going on, which is nice ;)

Can't say I like the colour but I'm well keen  It looks like a slightly pumped up VX - which was exactly what I was after.

Have you decided on your colour combo yet Thorney? I pleased to see the interior shot showing the leathered up gear/handbrake shroud, couldn't see much else different on the interior though.

I'm still waiting to see the special VXT colours before I make a decision. EB is top pick so far but something a bit more lairy is tempting ;)

Those side intake vents are really disgusting - completely spoil the line of the car in a pseudo-Lambo way. Hang on, it's a Vauxhall - it's not supposed to look good is it ?

How do you make an Elise faster ? Well, keep the stuff that works (chassis) junk the rest and replace with better suspension, brakes, steering, gearchange and finally a much better engine. Oh, that'll be the VX 220 then, faster than any factory Elise under the 111s. It must KILL you that the VX is quicker as well as prettier, better built and safer. Oh, and better handling according to many commentators. :P

Mr Blunkett, I agree with you re: the turbo I'm afraid : I reckon its a pig. The detail changes make it look untidy and the wheels aren't nice. Its looks like a kit car now, not as much as the Elise but not nice anyway. I'm a HUGE fan of the VX220's looks but they're ruined on the Turbo IMO. Just as well they still make the VX220 for me I'm afraid !
