not that i can afford either or would actually fit either, i have to say the first red one on page 1 looks nicer then cliffies but thats just IMO
I agree Stuwy but...
A. That one on the first page is not available.
B. Mine is a lot lighter
C. Mine will make the back end work in a more aerodynamic way and increase rear downforce-a lot and is not fitted for looks alone.
D. Mine saves me the weight of the boot, the hardtop and the roll hoop cover.
I like Darcini's better than mine as well but in a race car it is about weight and usefulness over form.

i compleatly understand, i knew it must be fitted for usefullness rather then any other reason because they all look terrible
all IMO of cause
edit:
I just re-read my original post and it does read like a personal shot, so i am sorry about that. It was ment to be light harted and toung in cheak.

Hey girls, I have followed little of your interest in the engine cover.
And I also visually it's cool. And therefore, I now started to build up a prototype that will come to resemble the red so close as now even possible.
But when I have finished my own, the possibility also to make others.
Therefore I would like to know what you would be willing to pay for a copy. Your bid will determine whether I build more when I make my own
what will u pay? Greetings Speedster Denmark
It will be i Glasfiber.
Only interested in something similar to the German shape (the rest looks pants .i.m.h.o.), but I think you better post a rough indication price here to gain interest.
There is another German rear cover quite similar, but more racing oriented. (developed close together) Had contact with that guy and he then said that in principle all parts could be copied. But they do need some fabbing to get right. ("Racing parts"...)
Should have a pic.

I too think that the red on that you have illistrated is just stunning on the VX, would certainly be interested if the quallity was there.
Price wise, I would think that it would have to come in at sub £1000, to generate interest.
The Thorney high rise boot lid in carbon, was priced at £800 or so pounds, and not many of those sold.

My first thought would be making something that is actually mounted on the existing bootlid.....
I think you will need access to mounting points that can be used, but are easily reversable.
Just under the rollbar cover there are the 4 screws you can use.
When you remove the thingy that holds up the normal bootlid, it will give you 2 existing holes in the rear clam on each side.
Anything strong under that, will give you the mount points on the back side.
Of course the existing boot lid will have to be taken off, but it's fully reversable for resale without drilling a single hole.
