Well its that time of the year again and after seeing a few posts about Classic Line Insurance I gave them a call, and was blown away with the price they could do my insurance for of £387 on a Classic Policy thumbsup thumbsup , would defiantly recommend them and worth a shot if your working through the list of insurance companies on the insurance thread ( http://www.vx220.org...surance-thread/ )

Do they insure for business use or just as private use? Might have to give them a bell. CCI are the cheapest for me so far but their policy doesnt cover me to drive any other car :(

I would like £160 cheaper than CCI, that would make my insurance £42. :)

And the results are in... Henderson Taylor - £100 cheaper than CCI and also with unlimited personal and business mileage. Pleased with that. Cheers Mr J Man.

Just as an update to this, I have just spoken to Classic Line and as it is my only car apparently it is hard to get a classic policy and they wouldn't quote me even on 4k miles per year :(

Not heard of any of these insurance companies, think I'm gonna look into them though. Previously used ecar but for this year it has shot up. Only checked out two compare websites so far but my cheapest quote on a standard vx, 30 year old female, full no claims and no points and not been offered insurance for less than a grand!

I always use TurboBob's list, see below:

Not sure if this is any use, but here is a list of companies various members have recommended on the forum :

AON http://www.specialistcars.aon.co.uk/
Chris Knott
Adrian Flux 08000 83 88 33
Competition Car Insurance (CCI) 0115 941 5255
Haggerty via Henderson Taylor Insurance 0161 437 7442
HIC https://www.hertsinsurance.com/
Henderson Taylor on 0161 437 7442 (ask for Matthew) http://www.henderson...ntaylor.co.uk/"
Heritage http://www.heritage-quote.co.uk
A-Plan http://www.aplan.co....quote.php?int=0
Admiral http://www.admiral.com
Richard Egger 0115 985 0165
Classic Line 01455 639 000

I'm actually with Admiral, although they don't do track days. I figured if I do do track days, then I'd just buy the insurance for the day.
