That does cross my mind but I have standard exhaust which would be too much to replace at the moment.

Why?
The german version of stage II (sk260) from an official tuner just ticks out the precat, and that's it.
You can live with 240 bhp instead of 250 right?

Definately going stage 1 now as the old pulley was ruined removing it thumbsdown

I have the car in bits at the moment and making some progress, my main aim was to get the ECU out and sent off to CMS but I have a few things I cannot figure out.

1. The temp sensor in the standard throttle body inlet tube, does this still get used, where does it go? Part no 29 here.
2. I pressume the whole of the exhaust gas recirculation pipe is removed and the blanking plate from Courtenay is used, this is something I never bought because I thought it was the EGR valve blanking plate which I already have. Part no 2 here.
3. There is a stiff plastic pipe from the existing manifold next to where the throttle body mounts and goes off to the side of the car, it might be charcoal filter related? I cannot see a similar connection on the SC manifold where it would go, is it still used? I cannot find a link to it so might have to take a picture.
4. I bought this Top hose S bend pipe form CMS but on the conversions I have seen they do not seem to use it and I cannot really see the point of it, I think a small piece of aluminium tube might be needed instead. Has anyone used the top hose?

Thank you for any advice.

yes the top hose is needed, to reroute the hose (the silver connector) houses the thermostat.

Huh? It is. That's the intake air temp sensor. It's plumbed into my post filter intake pipe (though Courtenay's just left it hanging in mid-air when they did my conversion).

That is where I suspected it might go, ie make your own hole between filter and TB.

Yep, pull the sensor and the sealing ring out of the existing plastic inlet and drill yourself a suitable hole in the aluminium pipe (or whatever you're using) and refit. Due to our stupid ECU, it's the only temperature sensor we have on the inlet (or exhaust) side of the car and is part of the reason the SC's maps are a bit of a bodge and play safe, as there's no way of telling the ECU what's happening post charger.

Yep, just a hose joiner on my car. Standard ECU fan control only, here.

1. I put it in a plastic pipe i built between the throttlebody and cone. If you leave it dangeling, it will trigger eml code and fan continuous on. 2. As the connection pipe inside the enigine is allready disconnected via the egr blancking plate you have on, the open hole where the pipe used bolted on to be can be left open, as it's not used anymore. 3. Mine has been put on the SC, but a simple connection in the plastic pipe from nr 1 can also be used. It's just to keep gas fumes out. 4. S bend with small alu straight to bolt it onto oem waterhose.
