It is a fair old hike  , how long will the final mapping take ? Is it all straight forward or Is every one different ?

i was there 4.5 hrs although the car was sat on roller doing nothing most of time ,as above was waiting sometime for mapping .cost wise i was charged £112 all in so works out at just over a hour as they charge £99 p/h

So the CS rollers are booked for a full day for a VX, untill Stefan feels like looking at his screen and do something for an hour or so. No wonder there's a huge backlog. Silly tuners.

I have been driving it a few days now and love it and should have done it much sooner. The noises are brilliant and without a noisy exhaust (still on std n/a) it sounds a bit like an electric car. I am curious, what is the hiss as you push the throttle in or hold it on part throttle, what is happening at this point, I pressumed the little actuator/butterfly valve was operating? Also, I always thought the whine was a mechanical noise from revving the compressor but it is more an induction noise on open throttle, you could drive all day long not hearing the whine if you wanted.

Courtenay tomorrow for the map finishing, any guesses on power? I think the hot day will not help, not having any cooling I can feel the power drop off after a decent run. I suppose about 210BHP is expected but it might drop off early with the standard exhaust and filter.

I would have met you there... My car was booked in for tomorrow, but delays at paint shop meant I had to cancel. Hope all goes well!

What a long day, 4.1/2 hrs each way and about 5 hrs in the garage. Everything seemed to go OK and I ended up with 208BHP and smoother feeling acceleration but my exhaust is holding it back so a rev limit of 6.5K was installed. I am happy with that, it feels very rapid but not brutally fast.

Yes a new exhaust at some point and probably some form of intercooling, maybe a small rad in one of the ears. Will be next year now though.

It has been off a couple of times, to swap the rad and to fix the fan. It just looks a lot more hard work to do a front rad, then again there are probably more standard fit options for a front rad, we will see.
