spoken to bloke at lotus parts about cost of the four channel abs units that help the car from having ice mode on the brakes. so with this in mind would anyone be intrested in a group buy? cost normaly is £434 plus VAT but he says he can do them for £325 plus VAT = £390 plus postage of £7.95 recorded orders would be through lotus shop.

Might be interested. Am i right in thinking though that this unit needs to work with 16front and 17inch rear wheels rather than 17inches all round? G

New units are programmed but will need a reset when fitted to a car for the first time. You need to go to a lotus dealership for this. Vauahall or op-com wont do it.

I think I would take one if the activation price was acceptable. Best regards, Paul

Activation is done by any Lotus dealer with the Lotus Scan 3 tool in less than two minutes. Should only cost some bucks. Tell them they shall take the BLUE diagnosis cable for the '04 Lotus Elise and up. Urge them to just try it, some Lotus guys may think it can't work on a Vauxhall but it sure does!

I'd expect a reset to be less than 50 quid. Robin, I can sort a GB on these if you CBA. My price may or may not be the same, I'm waiting to hear back. I may be able to get them sent out reset, I may not. Its not one for me I'm just being nice so can we get an ordered list?

Rob I fitted mine in less than two mins at the weekend. Four bolts, slide the clip off with the wires and then lift off. Just make sure the cars off and you will be fine.

Doubt you will get a 'new' unit unlocked for less than £450 IMHO. I can confirm though that once unlocked its free to be used as many times as you want. My second hand exige unit has been on two other VX's before mine and can report no problems.

Is there any chance we can get this group buy from a lotus dealer with them all set up and ready to go? If so, I'm up for one too. I don't want to have to fanny around finding a dealer to press a couple of buttons on a laptop...
