There's still no way I'm hacking bloody great holes in an original undamaged clam though.

as its you i will do it for a cup of hot choc :D

No good brown nosing now Joe, you're still going to get banned.

Another vote for the triple rear vents, done well with a return to retain strength they could look very good.
Hmmmm......

I really need to have an accident in my car. I've got soooo many things here that need fitting but I bottle out of doing because it's all original clams still.

If I do the 3 vents on the side I will strengthen the area, my rear with the mesh is probably no worse than it was and still feels very solid. My actual car has the mesh pushed out slightly unlike Joes (it was hard work so suggested Joe just did what everyone else has done, which looks pretty good to me), I didnt post a real photo just my photoshop stuff. Generally the holes all look better on lighter coloured cars, and probably work worst on blue and black ones. But at Anglesey you could realy feel the heat escaping out of those rear vents. Martin s

Some really good ideas. Has anyone measured egts to see how much difference it makes?

first one looks better than the flat versions could be doable to make that style

Wouldn't make any difference to EGT's - that's internal to the engine/exhaust. It's all about venting hot air in the engine bay.

agreed Max, why bother with the grille, it's extra weight () and will only serve as a resistance to airflow.

...Technically, I'm not Gay.... :gayfight: I just cut out round holes with a drill for Exhaust area, no fancy photoshop work needed & Vocky cut out the number plate area, then fitted some mesh.

Seriously though, some of the photoshop images looked good, I guess i would have spent more time on the aesthetics if my car was used on the road as well. I do have a spare rear clam & may consider revising my rear end if and when it requires changing, but for now, less is more!

How about those triple vents with them extended across the exhaust piece? Might need a quad vent to make it look right. C'mon mr photoshop man! :poke:
