Big row back stage. Blackmore doesn't come on stage so they start without him.
Eventually he comes on, in a stinking mood. Chucks water on a camera man for getting too close. Hilarious.
4 gigs later he quit.

601 hp on 2.5", versus 614 on 3".
I'm not impressed.

Why not? Given there's 2 exhaust boxes it gives a good view of the power loss for the Harrop engine boys...Each box is handling approx 300bhp of gas flow. The 2.5" box lost around 7bhp compared to a 3". Seems sensible to me?601 hp on 2.5", versus 614 on 3". I'm not impressed.

I meant the loss is not that drastic.
With the 3" being a tad louder then the 2.5" for us, i only see it as a last resort for the big power vx's.

Ah, agreed. More cost, more noise not much difference in power.. Good for those of us on 2.5"I meant the loss is not that drastic. With the 3" being a tad louder then the 2.5" for us, i only see it as a last resort for the big power vx's.

The reason I posted it was because I thought the difference between them was so small and that it was a big thing on the forum but the science shows it makes fcuk all difference, lets face it what is 10 hp when you have 300+
The other thing is they was testing with 25ft of exhaust, we only have about 5 in our cars
so yes I agree with el Capitan and smiley
it was the noise reduction that I was most shocked about

Useful instructional video on how to launch and recover aircraft from a Royal Navy aircraft carrier in 1960.

I found this an interesting video on how restricting exhaust flow effects power

The way it moves is quite hypnotic and beautiful. But you just know that you'd use it once and then it would turn itself into an impenetrable knot when you store it.

Then get the 4 meter version.
Much cheaper.
