They aren't secure at all!! He even said they only clip on while having a rest! :o To clip on and off all the time every few feet is tiring. I would rather be knackered and alive than dead! :rolleyes: I also liked the metal pikes that are for "dissipating the electrical charge from a lightning strike". Or to me seemed more likely to make what already seems like a hard and quite terrifying job harder and more terrifying with a threat of impaling yourself on them!! :unsure:

Great video though. Reminds me of what was said to me when I started climbing trusses etc for my freelance work in lighting!! Remember.... "It's not the height that kills you!! It's the impact with the floor" :closedeyes:

Thats the exact point isn't and one which i struggle with, i'd be happy climbing those lightning spikes at say 10m. That would likely still kill me if i fell off. so why wouldn't i do it at 400?

Because at that height you would have about 10 seconds to think about your c.200mph impact with the ground?
