Just done my surround today after reading this guide and very pleased with the results.thumbsup A bit of patience and time is all that was needed. Tricky areas were the bits at the base of the windscreen as it was hard to get pressure in on these areas. BUt i would definately recomend this to anyone thinking of having it done. I used Avery vinyle on mine which stuck very well and no bubbles!! The stripes were harder in my opinion because of the different contours on the car. Stone chip disguise mission almost complete!!

Thanks for the compliment. I thought they were gonna look too chavvy but i actually prefer it now. I plan on fitting some carbon fibre stone chip plates to the front bumper. I have just got to make them first. I still have got to finish the back of the car stripes but the bootlid throws the stripes all over the place and the look wasnt nice. I plan to buy a turbo spoiler and have a join under it as this looks like how others acheived the right look. im also going to plastidip the front 'V' Black.

I was waiting for the inevitable "can you wrap the seats.." biscuit-gag, but nobody seems to have done it. I'm sure if we wait long enough, someone will.....

Great work! I'm really impressed with all the attempts on here... Anyone know if I can get Calypso Red for the surround? Once on, is it reversible or does it take the silver paint off with it? Cheers!

Thanks guys thumbsup Just gotta do the front V now as it looks out of place whereas it was the surround that did before with me having black wheels! As for silver paint peeling - I didn't think it was painted; I thought it was cast in that colour but I could be wrong

I'm gonna plastisol the front v as the shape is quite complex so thought spray would be good. I'll post the results when it's done on another thread.

I would say it's reversible and probably best removed with a little heat applied to loosen the adhesive.

I believe that pink princess has an almost exact match for calypso.

I'll be interested to see the results of this! I'm only going to have a crack with the vinyl as i've got some left from the centre which should cover the V. I concede that it does look like it'll be a pita without taking it off the car but i'm certianly not removing the clam for that purpose
