That second one would be a good idea to drain the separator back in to the engine If you want to do that Or just vent crank directly instead of using oem pcv @ smiley do you know how much oil you put in from dry and on a oil change ??http://www.ebay.co.u...V-/390619927684 Here's an idea and applied to a car: http://www.streettun...ed_dipstick.htm

I would propose draining back into the turbo return feed (the one bunged up currently) and running a vent from the dipstick to a T on the cam cover vent. That way any pressure build up on the dipstick is prevented and the gasses just form part of the normal PCV system.

You could just remove the standard dip stick, and get a fitting welded onto it..
In fact, get something that can attach to the standard dip stick tube end, and plub it into an existing catch tank. Just needs to be easily removable so the dip stick can be usedto check the oil level occasionally..

If it's anything like Evo owners, just cable tie the dipstick in place.

From dry was done by my techie. (he used about 6 liter)
At my first change i was to told to use about 6 liter, but i do remember using just a bit more then that. (edit: i used 6.5 liters at my last change)

After re-reading martins topic, i noticed he's using the saab dipstick, so above questioning can be ignored.

So what do other owners who've put bigger turbos/power on these engines done?
As in other B207 owners in Saabs?
I've never heard of any problems with oil use or dipstick blow-outs in the 9-3, no matter what turbo is fitted
