And something Smiley can maybe also better judge, but on this engine the Tullet 2,5" muffler sounds quieter than on an SC-ed 2,2. (Have a Piper 200cell cat pipe fitted in front) Think that is due to a better ignition map, but it's still to loud for my taste.
Something else, the 2.0 LSJ is a lot more eager in the top end and I heard that Smiley's driver (Speedster4fun) that day hit the 7100rpm limiter a few times before he expected it. (He has a Stage2+ SC)

Speedster4fun was using engine noise to judge where the rpm was :o
Build in that shiftlight asap.
It's very silent compared to mine.

I guess I must try finding a LSJ wiring harness and ECU then, would make a good setup for the second chassis

That's the biggest pain isn't it.
First 2 days it frightens you.
After a few months, you think it's broken.

Not much news to report on my own project. It's still in pieces for the RHD to LHD conversion, but time is very limited.
And in between doing stuff for Joe´s car and others does not help speeding things up...

Time for an update... My spare time in 2012 was mostly spend on the LHD conversion and some other's projects, but not on own power mods. The Speedy still has the bone stock 2.0LSJ with a smaller pulleyed M62 and off course the LSJ ecu management + DIY HPTuners mapping. I still have the ported head, cams and a Harrop waiting, but before tearing it apart we could join a dyno day this Sunday with the Dutch Opel -Forum to see what this M62 LSJ could do. I know it drives pretty well, but between all the Corsa's and Astra's, this 1st Speedster dynorun raised a few eyebrows... :o :D

That's will be a bone stock LSJ/Saab B207 with M62-3.05" pulley, stock Z22SE exhaust manifold, Piper 2,5" cat pipe and a Tullett 2,5" muffler. Edit: lightened C20LET flywheel (5.8kg) fitted + stock turbo clutch. And the LSJ ecu off course... 2nd run with some added traction for the rollers and a bit of heatsoake (47*C IAT start):

But what pulley size on the m62? Also I thought the LSJ engine was only safe for 300ish? Has it had balancer delete? Ps. The fan wasn't on for the power run!

3.05" pulley. (7200rpm max) And no, stock engine. Even with the original LSJ plugs inside. And the other fan was on, plus hotwired my own Spals, but it's a crappy phone video.

It will be very investing once your harrop is fitted. Would that not push the power into needing internal work though?

My mate has just fitted a similar Z20NET engine & ecu, but with a ported head and a Harrop. (3.15" pulley) He is now a bit afraid that this might be a bit overkill in a VX... :ninja:
