Allways think the main body of the door panel should be trimmed to hide the nasty oem stuff, looks great
Only if it doesn't get affected by water. The alcantara shoulder pads I had got screwed beyond help by drips of water.

Thanks for the heads up on this I'll see how it goes. Moisture barrier got to go on the back of the doors as well.

Good call techie, hadn't thought of that... Wasn't thinking alcan but will have to see what might be suitable.

Just keep an eye on it, dry any drops off and make sure your windows are well adjusted to keep the water out, if you park outside. I just used to pretty much ignore it and it left a load of white stains and sort of compressed the nap in the fabric. Tried brushing it back to life but that didn't help either. Same applies to the leather, to a lesser degree.
I actually did similar to my old Audi as well so should have learnt to keep my window shut.
lol It's garaged so will only come out to play when the sun is shining!
