I have noticed that there is a LOT of rattled and clonks!!! ANd I'm not even mentioning the horrific sounds when hitting a 'Pot Hole' (Hole = any road surface variant over 20mm lol)

I do have a concerning question though.....

Car was sorn and without MOT or TAX and is did go through several number plate cameras the grey ones next to some speed cameras so I'm sure it's picked me up.

What happens now will I get a nice letter from the Police/VOSA??

You need to be stopped by the police for a slap to be dealt out. Eg driving through camera might ping a warning to local police cars but you won't get busted in the post.

Really?????

If you have now taxed it online Matty, drive away unless you have taxed it from the beginning of July. Once you have paid the tax online, you are covered. Well done matey, I am really impressed and busting for a spin out in it.

Only if renewing tax. If coming ff sorn you must wait for the disc... Not a gamble I'd want to take for the sake of 2-3 days

The day has come to finally fit my interior into the VX. It's a DavetheTrimmer job and I love it.. It's not all finished yet but though you would all like to see it.

Here are some progress pics all went together without a hitch...

The naked door!

Posted Image

Vapour shield in place

I manged to lay my hands on 2 sets of vapour sheilds to slow down the moister getting through the doors.. I've not glued it in place just taped (we'll see how long that lasts first as gluing is permanent and I may need to get in the doors at some point.

Main door car and handle triagle

All the trimming on here

And the other side

Also wrapped the dash as was looking a bit scruffy

And fitted the centre console

So that leaves the seats to be re-upholstered along with the head restraints and the steering column surround. Another trip to Dave the Trimmer beckons!!

Cheers Rob I'm really chuffed with it. Can't wait to get the seats done now.

(I'm not sure what to do with the exposed alloy panels yet. I am going to try cleaning then up but they are a little battle scared so was thinking of wrapping then in carbon vinyl.

Will give it a go but alloy is really bad will need a lot of elbow grease to get it looking good again..
