Have you tried using deox-c solution or gel? I have for the last few years and its like voodoo magic. However you do have to coat it pretty quick out of the solution as stuff flash rusts fast.
Just googled it wow if it's as good as they say I'm getting some!!
Works the same as putting it in vinegar.
Just buy the cheapest you can and chuck the part in. 24hrs and you'll be able to wipe the rust off

What a difference from the start to how it looks now, but one thing it looks mint and a tidy motor now. The wishbones looks very similar to another set ive seenGot my parts back from powercoating today:

I presume the ops had it done blue just to add a bit interest/a bit different? I'm hoping to get mine done next year (obviously not orange as it wont go with my yellow car) but will have to see how many penny's I have left after Xmas
I'd ad in the cost if getting it metal plated before then powder coated after. Will last longer and doubt you'd do it again in your ownership.
Worth while thing to do (suspension refresh) and many tend to over look this for more shiny things.

Paying anyone will add up.
There's so much to the suspension refresh that those hourly rates will hurt the wallet (purse in your case).
Try it yourself? Or get your bro/dad to help. Your a car crazy family. you must have some skills with a spanner between you?
True, if only I was handy with a spanner lol, unfortunately for me my brothers tied up with his project and my dads too busy with his cars so the only way for me is to pay someone to do it for me
