Seeing as you've got the door in bits may I suggest you buy some of THIS and do the front and rear runners, can't imagine the windows don't rattle at this point in their life. At least have a good check thumbsup

Good call I'll get that done before/when I re-assemble the doors.. Not looking fwd to that I'll be so scared about scratching the new paint!!

(BTW not painted yet.. Going off for 2 weeks at end of the month)

Been making progress on fibreglass tubby ears tonight (Donated by my good friend Cliffie) Grille removed on the worst one new OEM grille being picked up tomorrow hoping I'll be able to prep them up to a decent standard if not I'm going to have keep a look out for a pair of OEM's but they're sooooo expensive!!

Weekend work is to put the replacement exhaust back on (kindly donated by Stu..)

Might need an extra pair of hand (Cliffie!!)

Loads of other small stuff going on plus the 3m Carbon Vinyl to finish off but keeping that for a rainy day..

Also I need to decide whether to do the rear clam cuts-outs for letting out the heat from the exhaust..

Anyway enough of my ramlings I will post some more pics soon.

Hi Wreelybro, good project, you certainly are progressing well :) You were deliberating about cut outs for the rear bumper for added cooling. I have deliberated about such matters and have come to the following conclusions which may help you: 1: Cutting material away from the rear bumper will reduce its ability to absorb mild to mid bumps from the rear, increasing risk of damage to the rear chassis member. 2: Leaving the rear tray off will allow extra cooling or the engine and the gearbox and gear cables and a load of other things too. It is thought by some of us that the F23 can suffer from failure due to oveheating. This option also saves weight on the rear of the car.I run without a rear tray and dont particularily notice any aero defficicies (only tested to about 140 leptons ATM) without it and have no heat issues what so ever.

Cheers for the info Nev (Yes rear cut outs are on the cards - Eventually the VX will become a dedicated track/race car so not too worried about rear impact also not planning on reversing at speed into anyone lol) I'll be running a Jimsan at the rear so that rules out runing without an undertray.

running without undertrays will produce lift at high speeds and ruin the aerodynamics of the bottom of the car

the fiberglass rear bumper will absorb more bumps as it will flex a bit more lower down

the cutouts arent near the subframe as the boot is in the way of this
