Hi guys roughly every 100-150miles my car will throw up a p0130 eml.
It's running great, no changes at all, search (from other engines) tells me it's the 'front lambda'
Just to make sure before i drop £130 I presume that means the pre cat lambda sensor?
I would have thought it would have showed some other sign but the light, but it's been on 3 times now(after being cleared) so I'm not going to ignore it? Fuel economy hasn't changed by the way, 35-40mpg
just ignore it , fitting a new lambda won't fix it, most likely an air leak around the exhaust manifold.
pull fuse 8 for 30 mins, if the light annoys that much.
cheapest place imo for oem plug n play lambda is here

I've got this issue with my VXT. I replaced the pre-cat lambda sensor and reset the EML via OP-COM but now 50 miles later it has come back on.
Errors I get are:
P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) (08) - Not present P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) (09) - Present
No leaks in the manifold that I or the garage could find.
Strange one.

Wow this is an old one. Anyway the MAF was fcuked so I replaced it with a new OEM one and it's been fine since. Touch wood.

I got fed up with this on the old CS map, so I decided to fix it with my latest remap.
Its in the function FKHABMN

Surely the pre-cat lambda reading is rather important as it is used for idle and low rev stoemetric...?

+1 , had this also last year.... a P0130 can be.... Disconnected plug to the sensor Possible corrosion in the sensor connector Damage to the sensor wiring to the ECM Fuel system having poor volume to the engine (i.e. Fuel Pump or other component) Intake vacuum air leaks Loose connections in the air or fuel systems Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) reading out of range Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP) reading out of range Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) leaks HO2S sensors reading out of range Leaking fuel pressure regulator The ECM is damagedWow this is an old one.
