This is just the start of a review, but i have just got back from the fitting of my new exhaust. a full 2.5 inch system that i paid £1200 for. i know it is a lot for some pipe but the workmanship is second to none and Mike (a friend of atomX) is a really nice chap that is a true perfectionist with his work. My system has the acoustifill already in in, unlike some othher brands. and it pops, bangs and bubles in a very charming way. it is still settling in, but i can feel the improvement in flow from the standard manifold, down pip (precat removed) and the milltek. I was always quite happy with the sound of the milltek, but this is another league. i will get some photos up and contact details for mike over the next day or so to add in to this. :groupjump: :groupjump: :groupjump: :groupjump: :groupjump:

Will do! i am hoping to get a before after dyno as well. My arse says at least 60hp  it barks like a dog when cold, and in comparison to the old system there is noise straight away, implying that there is less of a restriction on the exhaust. i will try and get a good quality recorder for the car :)

yep full system. As it is settling in it is sounding even better; 3.5 k revs on a blip is somewhat addictive. work is very silly this week, but I will have a decent camera and a decent microphone to record the new noise out of it. does anyone have a well calibrated DB reader I could borrorw or come visit for a quick test?

As promised here is a brief video of the exhaust system:
YouTube vid

Shot on an iPhone so forgive quality. I will try and get some drive by shots, but this system sounds stunning.

My car is a Joe and Lee sc conversion (well they did most of the work getting me running)
Stage 2 with lightened fly wheel.

System is 2.5" with twin silencers to keep the noise levels track friendly.

Thanks for the comment. These full systems, with or without flames will shortly be available at £1200 :) It does sound epic and the video doesn't do it justice. The pickup on the car is also improved according to my arse dyno!

Have you had that measured at a track yet? My Tullett sounds quieter than yours (on the video at least) at idle but when the car is under load, I run into problems on tighter drive-by noise limits on track. Breezes through static tests though.

Crikey, your car doesn't like starting much does it, are all NAs like that? Was that a cold or hot start?

It is normally fine on start up, I had been putting a new belt on it and it had been sat for a week. I had started it up to make sure the belt was ok, then turned the car off to shoot a short video. I do seem to have a fair amount of oil around the engine, but I am not sure if that is just to do with the fact it is venting back into the engine bay...

Do we get any pictures of the complete exhaust off the car? B) What cat does it have (or not from the couple of flames that it shot out?) Is it just the lightened flywheel that makes it so much more rev happy? Or is that the result of more power (SC)?

Oh and the start up was a one off issue. It usually starts on the first turn (sometime with the sc conversion start up revs, but not always) Mine has two silencers and a ttv lightened fly. The new exhaust has made it rev a lot more easily :)
